Course Description

This course addresses the gap between what family caregivers need and what they receive from the healthcare system. It is designed for those who have completed the Level 1 course and want to learn more about the six domains of the caregiver-centered care competency framework. Those working in healthcare settings who have direct contact with family caregivers can benefit from this course.

Course content is based on a caregiver-centered care competency framework developed by researchers at the University of Alberta with support from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). It is being offered free to the public in collaboration with Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Open Learning & Career Development. For more information, visit caregivercare.ca
