Course DescriptionSummer School is a 5 day course that allows students the opportunity for hands on activities and to meet the instructor from the Master Gardener certificate! Students who wish to become Atlantic Master Gardeners, this course is a requirement for the certificate.
What You Will LearnThis summer school encompasses a week of great learning activities for the classroom and outdoors and is open to anyone with an interest in expanding his or her gardening knowledge and skills.

- Planting techniques
- Garden maintenance
- Pests and diseases
- Troubleshooting plants and gardens
- Fertilizing, liming, mulching and composting
- Garden tool selection, use and maintenance
What to Bring: Rain gear, hat, sun screen, water bottle, safety boots/shoes, hand lens, pruning shears, 14 inch diameter planting container, work gloves and camera

Anyone and everyone who has a passion for gardening is welcome to take this Summer school! Whether this is a new passion for you or you are looking to fine tune your skills, there is something for everyone throughout the 5 days.
This course is a requirement for those participants in the Atlantic region who are currently enrolled in the Master Gardener Training Program.
