The Seven Strategies of Master Presenters is a highly interactive workshop that is based on the book of the same name. Brad and his co-author interviewed over 30 of the best presenters in North America in order to discover how they became Master Presenters. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to use the seven strategies that differentiate masterful presentations from their less effective counterparts.
This is an elective course for the Certificate in The Art and Practice of Leadership Development or can be attended as a stand-alone course.
Methods of Instruction
This course is highly experiential. Participants will spend most of their time practicing the delivery of high impact presentations. The participants will be asked to bring to the course a presentation which they have already given or one they are preparing to give. They will also be asked to prepare beginnings and endings, and to prepare and give one presentation during class time. The participants will learn these skills through practice and will refine the skills with the help of constructive feedback from the instructor and other group members. Participants will observe and learn how to improve both their verbal and non-verbal presentations. All of us learn best when we receive accurate feedback.
Transfer of Learning
Participants will receive a copy of Dr. Brad McRae’s book The Seven Strategies of Master Presenters, The Master Presenter’s Workbook and The Master Presenter’s Presentation Form. Past participants have stated that they have improved their ability to present from 50 to 99% and have had fun doing it.
Course OutlineDay 1 - registration/check-in will start at 8:00 a.m. with sessions to begin at 8:30 a.m. and adjourn at 4:00 p.m. Day 2 will commence at 8:30 a.m. and adjourn at 4:00 p.m.
There will be 15 minute mid-morning and afternoon coffee breaks. This course includes lunches, refreshment breaks, seminar materials and a certificate of completion.
