Course Description
The Pediatric Injections Training Program (PITP) is comprised of two parts:
- Online Competency Program
- Administration of Pediatric Injections Workshop
This program was developed to prepare pharmacists to administer immunizations by injection to young children. The legislation surrounding this expanded scope of practice is in various stages in each province. You are required to check with your regulatory body for further instruction once you have completed this program.
It is recommended that you are experienced and comfortable administering injections before participating in this program.
If you are new to injections, please register for the Immunization and Injection Training Program (PHAR-IIAT0001) and the Administration of Injections Workshop (PHAR-IIAT0002).
