Course Description

This program is targeted at Nova Scotia government employees who require core skills in policy development and analysis, which is an important step in building policy capacity within the public service.

Program Objectives

Grounded in the policy development process used in Nova Scotia, the Program exposes participants to the fundamental dynamics and best practices in analytical processes and techniques. Emphasis is placed on problem definition, the development of policy options, the management of policy relationships, building a policy framework and communications.
