Course Description

This course is 22.5 hours. It is recommended that students spend an average of 3 hours per week on this course work.


Competency in the English language in an EMI context can affect the level and quality of instruction. In this course, participants will learn and practice use of English language in designing and delivering lessons in an EMI context. This course develops CLIL pedagogical experience with hands-on activities.

  • Module 2 (5 hours): Teaching & Learning Methodologies
  • Module 3 (5 hours): Translanguaging
  • Module 4 (5 hours): Teaching Vocabulary in CLIL Contexts
  • Module 5 (5 hours): CLIL for Work and Professional Development
