Course Description
This course guides students through procurement practices, the bid process, contract negotiations, and managing contractors and vendors for optimum performance, and provides a taste of contract law. This course will provide the fundamental tools required for project managers. It will also offer insight into the procurement officer or buyer role on a project team.
Course Outline
- Session 1: Introduction, procurement objectives, definitions, the procurement process, plan procurement, conduct procurements, due diligence
- Session 2: Contract administration, control procurements, contract closure
