    What is a NetID username?
    The NetID username is your Dalhousie University account. It gives you access to Dal’s online resources, including online courses in BrightSpace and your Destiny One student account.

    What is a Destiny One username?
    The Destiny One username is your temporary account used to register for continuing education courses, University Preparation courses or English Language Studies courses. This login option will no longer be available as of September 1, 2022 and you will be using your NetID username and password to login. 

    How do I know if I have a NetID?
    If you have a student email account at Dalhousie University, you have a NetID username and password. 

    What if I can’t remember my NetID password?
    If you’ve forgotten your NetID password, go to password.dal.ca, choose the Forgotten or Expired Password option and follow the steps. 

    What’s the difference between NetID and Destiny One usernames?
    A Destiny One username (your “X number”) is provided when you create a profile on this website. As of March 1st, when you enrol in a course, you will receive a NetID username and password (check your Junk or Spam folders). Once you activate your NetID and set a password by visiting password.dal.ca, you will use your NetID username and password to enrol in courses and access your student information.
