Course Description
This course will help learners in public and private sector organizations learn the fundamentals of risk assessment and risk management. Students will explore various types of potential risk including financial, technological, operational, and reputational. The course will also look at risk remedies, risk mitigation, and risk auditing.

Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to:

- Explain how risk is assessed;
- Explain the various considerations when prioritizing risks;
- Describe the different approaches that can be taken to mitigate risk;
- Explain the advantages and disadvantages of each approach;
- Explain the concept of Enterprise Risk Management;
- Identify the advantages of Enterprise Risk Management; and
- Explain the role of a compliance program.

This course provides learners with the opportunity to earn a microcredential. A microcredential is evidence of a skill or competency that is employment related.
